Bubba Fred a “Cash Cow” for Project Graduation Foundation - $15,000 Earned For Local Students

Stuart: A “herd” of people joined Cow Chip Bingo and the Country Fair on March 21st. Bubba Fred, the Cow, “mooved” across the Martin County Football field for thirty minutes to find that perfect spot do what comes naturally. A bountiful “patty” was distributed by Bubba Fred and landed on the lucky $5000. square, belonging to Cynthia Wolf Laing.

Cynthia purchased her winning ticket at Atlanta Bread in Stuart and commented, “I now have the opportunity to take my grandson to Sea World.” Cynthia’s daughter graduated from South Fork several years ago and was a volunteer at her Project Graduation all night event. “Project Graduation’s all night party is the best program for our students to keep them safe after graduation.”

Project Graduation Foundation President, Stella Boland commented that $15,000 was raised this year and ticket sales increased over 20% using www.cowchipbingo.org and a banner ad with tcpalm.com. A competition between the three high schools to see who could sell the most tickets resulted in Jensen Beach High School as the winner. The prize, Principle Ginger Featherstone had to kiss Bubba Fred. The funds raised from this event enable Project Graduation Foundation to prepare three all night parties for our local graduating seniors.

Donations are still being accepted for Project Graduation and questions can be directed to President, Stella Boland at 772-215-6555.
